The Merlyn Mk 11A was an improved version of the highly successful Mk 11 and was a multiple race winner throughout 1969 and 1970, including helping to launch the careers of future stars such as Emerson Fittipaldi, James Hunt and Jody Scheckter. The 11A continues to be a race winning chassis in the incredibly competitive world of Historic Formula Ford today, and this immaculately prepared example has been a race winner in the hands of its current owner, Stuart Baird.
Rebuilt by championship winners Nigel Grant Motorsport, and unraced since. New uprights, wishbones, radius rods, rose joints, wheel bearings, discs and pads, doughnuts etc. Fitted with a Neil Bold engine which has done 3 races from new and has a strengthened block and steel crank. The gearbox was rebuilt 1 race ago and the Quantum shock absorbers are freshly rebuilt. Legal roll hoop.
Complete with FIA and HSCC papers and running spares. Spare unused bodywork, wheels and a box trailer available by separate negotiation. Absolutely ready to compete in 2019.
